Connecting Up Australia 2008 technology capacity survey of the nonprofit sector

Welcome to the Connecting Up Australia 2008 technology capacity survey of the non-profit sector.

Many of you will recall the 2006 survey we conducted, which proved extremely useful to those who participated and to us in advocating to governments for greater technology support for the charity, community and nonprofit sectors. This time around we've also included some 'green' questions, to assess how the sector is addressing environmental issues.

The confidential data you provide will not only benchmark the sector against other business and government groups, it will ultimately drive the creation of a new online service that will help you benchmark your organisation within the non-profit sector and point you to resources to help you improve your technology capacity.

So who are we?

Many of you may know us as the community nonprofit organisation CISA (now trading as Connecting Up Australia) via the 2006 NNIC consultation process, through our Connecting Up conferences, through our technology resource website www.connectingup.org or through our nationally recognised technology donations program, DonorTec www.donortec.com.au

We understand that investing your time in activities unrelated to your work may prove to be of no benefit to your organisation which is why we have designed this survey to do exactly that – benefit your organisation. Not only does the non-profit sector benefit from having a credible piece of research we can use in lobbying governments, corporates and philanthropic organisations on your behalf, but you win by receiving a copy of the survey results which will assist you to compare and gauge your organisation’s ICT capacity  in relation to other nonprofits in the sector.
